BOSTON — On Wednesday, March 29th State Representative Mark J. Cusack joined his colleagues in the Massachusetts House of Representatives to approve legislation that includes a $200 million bond authorization for Chapter 90 funding to help municipalities complete road, bridge and infrastructure improvement projects.  The House of Representatives acted quickly to approve this funding to ensure that cities and towns across Massachusetts can make the most out of the upcoming construction season.

“Braintree is a center for transportation on the South Shore and ensuring safe travel for the public is a top priority. Like in most cities and towns across Massachusetts, the roadways and bridges in Braintree require improvements,” said Representative Cusack. “Today’s vote in the House of Representatives demonstrates the House’s commitment to providing the necessary State funding to ensure the roads and bridges of our state our maintained and safe for transportation.”

Under this legislation, the town of Braintree is slated to receive $985,977 in Chapter 90 funding.
